You alone

“Lord, keep my eyes fixed on You alone.”

“Lord, keep my eyes fixed on You alone.”

“Lord, keep my eyes fixed on You alone.”

That short little prayer has been on my heart and mind all day.  It represents the cry and chorus of my life.  But as tomorrow afternoon comes ever closer, it is reaching crescendo levels.

Have you ever stood on the threshold of something significant…something that affects not only you, but potentially many who may follow?  Tomorrow is such a day for me.

My mentor, offering her support, encouragement and prayers declared, “I am excited for you to blast through some barriers. I think you were born with that anointing!”  I don’t know about that, but I do know that the Lord’s presence has been incredibly close tonight as I’ve prepared my heart.  I am filled with eager anticipation, joy and excitement.

Esther 4:14 echoes in my heart.  “And who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”  In the background Stuart Townend sings, “So I’ll stand on every promise of Your word.”

So taking a deep breath, I will follow His call, step forward in faith and ask “What if?”  I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know Who I will spend it with.  And for tonight, keeping my eyes fixed on Him alone is more than enough.
